Staff are encouraged to nurture their own faith and understanding through opportunities such as further study in Religious Education and Theology, prayer and reflection, retreats and pilgrimages and other faith formation activities.

Staff faith formation is an integral part of teaching in our school.  All staff regularly engage in staff prayer, annual retreat days and sharing of their faith with students.  Beginning teachers are inducted with a spiritual retreat, laying the foundations for a career founded in faith.

These activities enable staff to deepen their own personal faith and demonstrate their service to Jesus when teaching students about the word of God. Our teachers constantly strive to model the Catholic faith to the students in their care.

Teachers willingly give of their time to engage in community masses that serve to unite the parish and school regularly.  Students are able to see their teachers as role models engaged in the faith.

The teaching of Religious Education is strongly supported by Sydney Catholic Schools.  Teachers have ongoing opportunities to engage in professional learning in storytelling which is a creative way of introducing students to the many Bible stories that help them to get to know Jesus on a more personal level.  Religious education is treated with the same rigour as all other learning areas.
